i don't even know, mum made it so it was of course, very yummy (had like veg, pasta?, chicken, SPICY) i like when the soup BURNS.
it's very relevant, sick of the studenty stuff.
back at college tomorrow after a very unproductive easter, i need to unpack my bag (haven't touched it in two weeks) and pack it for tomorrow...
what are you up to? had anything yummy? what colour are your bedsheets now? (this sounds less creepy in my head)

Bonsoir Ciel (I'm milking the grade 9 I got in French since your user is French),

College was a nice distraction, didn't realise I missed my friends as much as I did over the holidays. I've applied for dentistry with 3/4 rejections. My last hope was Newcastle and have been waiting to hear from them since mid March, been stuck in a rut since then. They sent out some offers before Easter, and today I finally heard back - I've been waitlisted. 😕 Not bad, not good. At least I have some slim chance, but I hate that I'm kind of like a puppet dangling off this last thread. Everyone's on my case about it, to block them out I've just been grafting and got a ton of work I've been putting off done (I so cleverly wasted my entire Easter moping in bed, which I will probably regret soon).

What's your art project on? I wish I was as good at art as I am in my head lol, I'm not terrible at sketching things by eye, but it only usually turns out 'decent' if it's something I like (like motorbikes lol). I have a feeling you're really good. My sheets are these boring brown and beige stripes, they're the filler sheets while my favourite blue ones are in the wash. They're like this bright ocean colour with white wavy lines like the shore spray when waves hit the sand. Bambi patterns sound so cute, like whimsical fairy core whatever it's called, not childish! Hope you had a nice day and some good food, sleep well!

sorry to hear that, hope you hear back from them soon. sometimes it can take a while. even if it doesn't work out this year, if dentistry is something you really want to do, you could always take a gap year and try again. i know a year can feel like forever, but when you think about it from the perspective of, 'hey, this is something i'll be doing for the rest of my life,' it really shifts things.

it's not for school or anything, i'm basically a NEET at this point, lol... it's more of a personal thing, a series of paintings i'm working on. trying to make it in the art world. and thanks, hope you had a great day too ( :

I do love the teeth stuff, but not enough to be able to hold out in a gap year and chance succeeding again, it's too competitive, postgrad is even worse. It's not be all end all, I think I'll just push through my A-Levels to get good grades and do something through clearing. Definitely thinking from that perspective of it'll be something I'll be doing for the rest of my life, but from that same pov, I think I don't have the capability to try again - like mentally, so it's in my best wishes to just plough through and move on.

I think that your art being your own thing makes it all the better, you don't have deadlines or crap to put up with, probably makes your paintings nicer too. You will 'make it', even if it's just one fan or person supporting your work! I'm here cheering you on, I'd love to see your paintings. Motivate yourself to keep going with them by remembering that there are people who appreciate your skill!

Another stressful day at college, had a ton of strawberries to cheer myself up and cleaned up my workspace that was also refreshing. Strawberries taste nicer in my memory than they do every time I have them. I hope you had a nice day!

i get it, i don't think i could do it again either. idk how some people manage to get like 2 different degrees or more

haha, thanks, that means a lot. i've been trying to get an agent for a while now, but it’s a really hard industry to break into.

the best strawberries ive had were abroad, the uk ones can be pretty tasteless at times :<

2 degrees is insane. My sister is doing a psych PhD somehow, she's crazy. What is your degree in?

Praying you get an agent, it'll happen someday when you least expect it I bet. Have you got an art social media or something where you could promote yourself? Might help you get discovered!

I see those videos of people buying like a singular $20 strawberry from Erewhon because it's the best strawberry ever grown in Japan or something. I'd like to try one someday, probably steal it from a Japanese field rather than pay 20 though lol.

law. one of my biggest regrets ever, lol.
i do have social media but my following has little interest in art tbh. i do wanna make a separate art-related account at some point tho

never tried them but they look pretty nice, ngl

Law!? My mind immediately goes to Suits like it does to Grey's Anatomy whenever someone tells me they're doing med ahah. I'm now imagining I'm talking to Harvey Spectre. 🤣

Regret? That's a shame. If you could redo your degree, what would you pick? Art?

Definitely try an art-focussed Instagram or something, I think it could really work out!

Sorry if I’m butting in but working on a series of paintings must be fun! I haven’t painted since GCSE time (I’m doing A-levels now) so hopefully I’d get more time to paint like that later in the future
