What happens to your uni offers that you did NOT put down as your firm or insurance?

When you officially choose 2 universities to be your firm and insurance on ucas, what happens to your other uni offers that you hold? For example can you accept them after if you perhaps didn't get the grades for your firm and insurance uni at results day or do they get declined?

Thanks

For the (up to) three that you didn't pick as your firm/insurance, those offers "vanish" and those universities are informed so they can make offers for those places to other candidates. You have no option to "reclaim" those offers on results day.

You do, however, have the option of applying for these sames courses/universities via Clearing - if those courses are in Clearing, of course.

Once you choose your Firm and Insurance, all your other offers are cancelled.
You can't just re-invent these offers in August if you don't get the grades you expected.
Yes, if those courses are available in Clearing, you can of course phone that Uni just like any other applicant but you wont be 'preferred'.

Hi!

I hope you are doing well. Once you have made your firm and insurance choice in UCAS, your other options are "vanished". You would need to then apply through clearing to these chosen unis depending obviously what happens on results day! It is important to sit down and think thoroughly about this decision - one of the best ways I did this was through writing a pros and cons list of each University.

Hope this helps!

You have until *June* to make this choice.
