I just got an email saying I was a finalist & an invite to the event. Do I have to go in order to get my certificate or will this be emailed to me? Just asking as I live quite far away & this would be difficult for me.

@NU London can you possibly clarify- are winners selected from those who have been told they are finalists and invited to the event or if you are a finalist does that mean you are not a winner?

If you are a finalist you are not a winner, but you have done incredibly well and are in the top 20% of entries.

Well done on being awarded the final status as Finalist in our competition! You did incredibly well to be ranked as a Finalist. If you are unable to make the event then we completely understand, everyone will receive a digital certificate by the end of April if you cannot make the event date. Finalist is the final award you have been given in the competition, all the winners have been announced. The finalist and winners are all invited to our on campus event. We hope you celebrate your achievement of being ranked as a Finalist and enjoyed writing your essay!😃

Hi @NuLondon, I received an email stating in the heading that I was a finalist but in the actual email it says I am a subject prize winner. Does this mean that I won for my category ? Thank you

No. Everybody does not get highly commended. I believe that the email sent to highly commended students explained that they are in the top 30%.
