Yes.

After the first year of an Extended Diploma, you get a single letter grade (e.g. P, not PPP) so I'm going to assume that's the grade you achieved.

If you achieved a P in your first year, then that means you earned somewhere between 51 and 72 BTEC points. If we scale that points range up, assuming you perform at the same level in your second year, then you'd earn between 108 and 152 BTEC points. (Those numbers are slightly more than doubled as more points are available in second year.)

To gain MMM you need 156 UCAS points. So if your first year results were the best they could have been to achieve an overall P, and you did slightly better in second year, you'd be on MMM. However, it's more likely that in your first year you earned 60-ish BTEC points, meaning you need to earn about 95 in second year to get MMM. That means your performance in each assignment and exam needs to improve. But it's definitely possible to reach MMM.

Well, we don't know how many BTEC points you've gained in your first year. As I mentioned above, a P could mean anything between 51 and 72 BTEC points. So let's consider the worst-case scenario, where you scored just 51 points. That means you got a P in each coursework-based unit and just scraped a P in each exam-based unit.

If we carry those points forward to the Extended Diploma, and assume that in your second year you get an M in each coursework-based unit and just scrape an M in each exam-based unit, then you'd end up with 146 points, which is 10 points short of what you need for an MMM. So you'd get an MMP.

In reality you probably didn't just scrape a P in each exam in your first year and won't just scrape an M in each exam in your second year. For the exam-based unit, you get more points even if your grade doesn't change. For example, if your mark was half-way between the grade boundary for a P and the grade boundary for an M, then you'd get the points which are midway between those for an P and those for an M. So in reality, if you gain an M in every unit in your second year then you're likely to get an overall grade of MMM. But that's not guaranteed.
