Hi I was wondering if most 1st year Vet students stay at halls on campus at Garacube?
Hi there,
In my experience, Veterinary students choose to stay at a variety of halls across campus, but particularly Wolfson Hall and Queen Margaret Residences, due to them both being closer to the Vet school than other options. Wolfson (located at Garscube) is catered accommodation, whilst Queen Margaret is not. I stayed at Queen Margaret in my first year and really enjoyed it, also meeting a large number of Vet students. You can check out full accommodation details and residency profiles here.
Hope this helps! Elise, 2nd Year Student Rep Mechanical Engineering, BEng
Most first-year veterinary students at the University of Glasgow do not reside in on-campus halls at the Garscube campus. Instead, they typically choose University of Glasgow accommodation or private housing near the main campus in the West End, such as Murano Street Student Village, Kelvinhaugh Gate, or Maclay Residences. These locations offer convenient access to both university facilities and social amenities. The university provides a variety of accommodation options to suit different preferences and budgets.
