International Women's Day Society Highlights
Hi, everyone as we celebrate International Women’s day, we wanted to share some amazing societies at the University of Leicester that are doing some amazing work to support and empower women.
Although International Women's day itself may have passed, here at the University of Leicester we feel that all sections of society deserve a constant voice and so we want to carry on the discussion looking at these societies.
University of Leicester Women's Football and Futsal Club (ULWFC)
ULWFC provides opportunities for female students to engage in both football and futsal, emphasizing community, personal development, and equal opportunities for all members.
Club Overview:
• 1st team competes in Aldi Women's Midlands Tier 2
• 2nd team plays in Aldi Women's Midlands Tier 4
• Regular training sessions at University of Leicester Sports Centre and Danielle Brown Sports Centre
• Active social calendar including themed events and sober socials
