SFE for AHP degree- first degree incomplete

Years ago I studied an engineering degree but had to drop out half way through meaning I didn't complete the degree. I am now hoping to go back to university to study occupational therapy. Would I still be eligible for student finance for maintenance and tuition fees despite not completing my first degree? Thanks

Hi there, what is the name of the university you are thinking of applying to? Can you please confirm the exact course title? Is this a Full Time or Part Time course? How many years is the course in total? When are you planning to start your studies? Thank you, Stephen.

I have applied to 2 courses:
Northumbria University- Occupational Therapy BSC (Hons). Full time. 3 years. Start date Sept 2025
Sunderland University- Occupational Therapy Accelerated BSc (Hons). Full time. 2 years. Start date Sept 2025

Thanks, Occupational Therapy is an exception, which means you'll be entitled to the Tuition Fee and Maintenance Loans regardless of your previous study.

So, you're fine to apply to us for funding for either of these.

Thanks, Graeme
