Choosing between Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering at Sheffield

I'm struggling to decide between doing Mechatronics and Robotic Engineering with Year in the Industry or Mechanical Engineering with Foundation Year at the University of Sheffield. Does anyone know the job Oppitunites for these 2 different degrees. I'm also planning to do a MSc afterwards too

Hi,
I am studying motorsport engineering at Coventry University and must say I am loving the first year. Actually most engineering courses at Coventry share the first year with mechanical and I believe that mechanical engineering would be a very interesting degree to take. We also offer year in industry placements integrated into the course so this provides a link to a real world job and job opportunities once you graduate. We also offer an integrated masters course to allow you to do a MSC without leaving the university. However mechatronics engineering could also be a good degree so I would advise researching real world companies and job opportunities to find what degree these ask for.
