Help with GCSE edexcel English literature

I am aiming for at least a 7 in English literature but for my last two mocks I’ve gotten a 5. The thing I know I struggle with the most is time management which I’m working on but for all of the 20 markers I’ve been stuck in the L4 band 15/20. When I’ve asked my teacher about how to improve she has given me some advice but says that that mark is good which I don’t disagree with I aim to be at the bottom of L5 minimum. I’ve tried looking at online resources but they are mostly AQA or for texts I don’t do. The biggest helper is the examiner’s report/exampler answers but I am not sure how to use it effectively.
If you have any tips and did edexcel English literature please give me advise.

hey! so i'm not sure what texts ur doing but i find physics and maths tutor has really good,detailed notes on say each of the poems from each cluster and most of the modern texts/19th century novels. i'm probs not the one u want advice from but on paper 1 i got a 7 with macbeth & a christmas carol but with paper 2 i've not gotten my marks yet but i didn't manage to get on to the WHOLE unseen poetry section because of time!! i find i dwell too much onto the first question and then have an okay response for the 2nd and just don't have any time at all for the 3rd. i'm considering starting at the end and working myself to the first question idk if that will help massively but i tend to waffle way too much on the first qs of paper2 so hopefully it will reduce that but idk if it'll js weaken my first response, either way i'm still tryna learn the poems & texts cus i'm quite mid at english lit and i'm aiming for a 7-8!
** also for practice essays, i usually type it into chat gpt, and ik it's not the MOST efficient but it definitely is really helpful in terms of critical feedback to strengthen the essay, and the mark it gives it usually similar to a teacher's marking. you can also get it to revise your essay and make it better so u can see where ur weaknesses are but yeah!
