architecture firm

do i have to work at the firm then apply for a degree apprenticeship? im rlly confused on how it works and if i have never had any experience of working at one, where do i find a firm to apply for?? pls lmk

Hey! No! you apply for a degree apprenticeship itself- so you will find a listing either on the company website or on say gov.uk for an architect apprenticeship (its usually an assistant architect apprenticeship) then directly apply for that position- once you get it they enrol you either to a university or private training provider alongside you working a full job with them! Hope this answers your question.

(I am not particularly interested in this stream so I didn't look for applications around it but I still saw 2 offered this year- most open around September usually through to January/ February but may shut soon so definitely look to apply September- December specifically!) Some companies do multiple cohorts though!
