I have entered the wrong date of birth of my student finance application.

Hi, i am wondering if someone can help me as I have made a significant mistake on my student finance application and I am not sure what to do next. I struggled with the whole application to start with and was very anxious completing it and I think I have put the wrong date of birth in as a result furthermore I am not sure what to do. It says that for identity reasons I had to give a digital copy of my birth certificate which I did so they will be able to check that but it also on the website says about getting a Doctors note does anyone know If I must do that? I have tried to find a number for the student finance but I can't find one. So, I am genuinely confused.
