I'm confused on the level of econometrics needed. The example had t statistic which was more introduced in 2nd yr. I'm just hoping to leave that out if questions come on hypothesis testing and ols model assumptions

My essay went sooo much better than my SAQs lol

I was in the middle of the test typing up the answer and it just closed. I didn't even use my mouse. The deadline is at 11 tomorrow. I think I'm cooked

This has happened 3 times to me now, I don't know what keeps happening. Has this happened to anyone else?

do you mean it just exited the writing screen?

How does everyone think they got along with the SAQs? Personally I dont know, it was so time pressured had to leave out lots of blanks but i am hoping i answered the other questions well

The questions were definitely first year stuff for me and weren’t too difficult - but a) I was wayyyy to nervous and my mind just went blank meaning a few were left out or had terrible answers that I know were just completely incorrect haha and b) the timing impacted the quality of answers that I did put! So I don’t think I would have done enough to pass unfortunately!

You will have done better than you think! I think they want to see how we cope under pressure as much as our recall of economics.

Didn't they say they'd be letting us know the interview slots during this week? Has anyone heard? I'm assuming the interviews are granted to everyone regardless of the outcome of the SAQs and report.

I think we hear next week and they will reject people that fail to get 40 percent in the exam.

I think someone in this thread replied saying that we’ll get results for the SAQ’s by the end of next week and successful candidates will be invited to book an interview.

I had an email from them after completing both saying if successful we would be contacted with instructions for the next steps - so it sounds like we will only get an interview if we pass the SAQ’s… and it said before the test that you have to get 40% or more to pass

Yeah I missed out a couple questions and I don’t think the quality of my answers were great but oh well!

I think I only answered 5 or 6 and my answers were pants - too much anxiety rotted my brain! Haha

Does anyone remember what the original timeline was, such as if we were fully successful after the interview, when we would know? I can't find it anywhere.

Is it possible to change the strongest area of economics topic at this stage?

Reply 198

Do u think we should start preparing for the interview right now, only asking cuz it's not confirmed if we reached that stage or not
