That's just bad, if you look at previous years threads for this scheme they clearly are very unorganized, haven't improved this year it seems...

Not OP but this is how it went for me:

Dear _______,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to correct an error in our previous communication regarding your application for the Assistant Economist Graduate Scheme role at Government Economic Service. The email you received stating that you did not meet the pass mark score for the online tests was sent in error.

After a thorough review, we are pleased to inform you that you have indeed passed the online tests and your application will be progressing to the next stage of our recruitment process.
We sincerely apologise for any confusion or distress this may have caused. We truly appreciate your understanding and patience as we rectify this mistake.

Unbelievable. Pleased for you though! Thanks for sharing that. I had the rejection email on Tuesday. Still nothing in terms of it being a mistake or response to my query about what marks I got and what the pass marks were. Praying it may have been a mistake on my end aswell!

What did you guys put on the section where it asked how u maintained economic knowledge or something like that. I just graduated last year so I didn't really take that serious but now that could be a deciding factor💀

I don't think you need to put anything there unless you graduated 5 or more years ago or something like that which you are nowhere near.

A number of people have reported receiving these correction emails so they must be swamped and still actively sending them out; good chance you get one too. Not sure about the pass mark either but typically civil service tests have a very high pass mark because of competitiveness and the threshold is based on relative scores of all candidates

Got confirmation I did not meet the pass mark. Must have for the verbal test and they confirmed a high threshold due to competition. Trying to get my exact scores.

Did anyone else not get access to the practice questions due to it going straight into the live test? If my marks were very close I may explore if I can redo the tests based on a technical issue.

Not yet. Do you know the timeline for the recruitment? When does the sift end? And when should we expect to hear back about whether we’ve progressed to the next stage?

Reply 37

I also found that I passed the test on 19th March, does anyone know when we know if we were successful from the sift?

Reply 38

does anyone remember what the application process timeline was? it was on the website when applications were open but it has gone now, just want to know when we find out if we made it to AC or not

Reply 39

Noone's still heard back?
