Confused btw University of Surrey or Northumbria University

β€œAny advice or suggestions on which university I should choose? Northumbria apparently has good nightlife and is located in a student-friendly area, but Surrey has a good ranking and is close to London, though it’s expensive.”

Not sure about Northumbria but I'm in Surrey atm and it's quite nice. Not sure what your budget is but I've found it to be fairly cheap here, and I could absolutely go lower than what I spend now.

IMO the teaching is quite good. All my professors have been quite approachable and the people I talk with also say similar. The only downside I really see from the course itself is that all the coursework comes at once so one minute you're chilling and the next you have a ton of work. Guildford is quite a nice place to be, and it can be both quiet and loud depending on what you're looking for and where you go, and is very student friendly, with the uni taking up much of the area. It's also quite easy to travel anywhere due to proximity to the train station. I personally am quite satisfied with the experience here as everything is bundled quite nicely. There are quite a few clubs to join depending on what you want to do and what your interests are. I can't say too much about the nightlife as I don't go clubbing but from the people I talk to they all say it's pretty solid, and there are several nightclubs around including the uni managed one on campus. Please let me know if you need any more info.
