It's great to hear you're joining us for Paramedic Science!

The timetable for this course varies throughout the year, due to the mix of face-to-face learning and placement time. This is not yet fully set for the next year entry, however over your first semester you'll likely see between 3-4 days a week on campus. These days are arranged into 3 hour lecture blocks, then splitting into smaller group sessions for clinical skills and practical study. Typically over a week you can expect 14 contact hours and 16 hours of self-directed study.

Into your second semester, you will begin undertaking placements with paramedicine practitioners. You will follow compulsory clinical shift patterns of your practice educator and this will include unsociable hours including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays, and over the three year course you'll complete 1500 hours of placement. During these 3-4 week placement blocks, the usual face-to-face teaching doesn't take place.

I hope this helps, let us know if you have any questions!
