I'm considering doing a second degree this coming september in radiography

Should I do an access course in science first? I already have a first class degree in Psychology and Counselling and an access course in psychology and counselling in place of a-levels, would I still be accepted onto a BSc course with a previous unrelated degree?

If you are already a graduate, could you not self study the relevant prerequisites, prove your ability to admissions and jump in. Surely an access course is not targeted at university graduates since one of the skills acquired from a degree (certainly with a First) should be that ability to self study stuff??

When did you graduate? Unis like to see recent study so if it is more than 3-5 years, you might need additional qualifications. It also depends if your degree subject meets the entry requirements. You will need to contact admissions at all of the unis you intend to apply to - give a list of your qualifications and when you achieved them.

Bear in mind that you have missed the equal consideration deadline for September 2025 entry and, being a competitive course, a lot of courses might now be closed to applications. You could also look at pre-registration masters courses. They are a condensed 2-year version of the three-year undergrad. Use the following search tool to find courses:
