It's fine to feel like this. Most people wish there was no social media or no phones.
Being open and honest to your friends/people in the talking stage can help this anxiety and worrying about whether people think you're not being real or if they think you don't like them.
If they don't understand that you like your you time or you don't feel the need to speak to someone 24/7 then they're not your true friends/love interest.

There's some good news for you, newbic. In the adult world or dating and relationships you be will be a generally more attractive person for having a minimal or ultra minimal texting and online chatting policy. Combined with a lean telephone policy.

Being non clingy and non needy is the way to go.

Do you think you'll be OK in the due course of time with your face to face social skills? If you develop them as you mature and gain experience, you'll do very well for yourself.

If you don't want to use snapchat, don't. Be you. Not just any old you. Be a great version of you. The best version of you that you reasonably can be, by applying pragmatist and pareto principles and not being a perfectionist.
