Bristol, UCL or Edinburgh?

I am applying for neuroscience for 2025 but I don't know which to pick as my firm choice? I want somewhere with a good nightlife and I would prefer a campus uni like bristol or edinburgh but UCL is very good for neuroscience. Is the UCL nightlife really that bad/is it worth the price?

Hi,

Deciding which university to pick as your firm choice can be a difficult decision as it will shape the next three years of your life. I suggest looking at the different modules offered in your degree across all three universities as the content you learn will have the biggest impact on how much you enjoy the degree.

In terms of nightlife, while UCL has less of a campus feel compared to Bristol and Edinburgh, its London location offers greater access to a variety of nightlife events, a wider range of people to meet and more things to do. The diversity and vibrancy of London means that your social life isn't limited to just your university - you'll have the opportunity to mix with students from other universities and explore different social scenes.

If you haven't done so already, I highly recommend visiting all three universities as the setting and overall vibe can significantly influence your final decision. Ask yourself: where do you see yourself spending the next three years and enjoying the most?

Additionally, I also suggest reaching out to current students studying your degree on LinkedIn across all 3 universities. they can provide honest insights into both the social life and the course itself, helping you make a more informed choice.

Hope this helps!
