Bath BSc / Nottingham BArch architecture offers 2025???

I applied in early December as a home applicant with A*A*AA (maths chemistry physics further maths respectively) for Architecture at UCL (MSci), Edinburgh, Manchester, Nottingham and Bath
I've heard back from UCL, Edinburgh and Manchester, and have received offers from all 3
Bath - I haven't heard anything other than that they received my application back in December
- Has anyone heard back at all? Either with an offer or rejection?
Nottingham - they asked me for my portfolio a few weeks after they received my application
- I submitted this in early January and haven't heard anything from them since
- Is anyone in a similar situation? Or has anyone gotten any additional news?
Thanks and good luck to everyone!!!!
Hi there!

Lovely to hear you've applied to do your architecture studies at Bath!

The first thing I'd say in answer to your questions is that regardless of when you applied, its completely normal to not have heard back yet. Your unis have until late April to give you decisions and how long you wait has absolutely nothing to do with how strong your application is.

Architecture is a really nice choice of course - here at Bath its regarded as bridging the gap between art and science. If you chose Bath then you'll be working quite closely with other architecture students and civil engineering students from the start on fun group projects, and the variety of the things you get to work on and build is really interesting. You also in this degree get plenty of time to settle in and find your own unique architectural style and practice the techniques you learn in the first few years of your degree before your work begins to be assessed and count towards your final mark.

Its all about which of your options has A) the course content which interests you most, and B) which uni has the vibe you feel is best for you.

Hoping this helps 🙂 Best wishes

Hey, It's wonderful to hear you have applied to Architecture at so many places!

I see you say you have submitted a portfolio to us here at Nottingham, as we receive quite a lot of applications and portfolios every year it can take a bit longer to hear back but please rest assured - No news does not indicate you have been unsuccessful! It just means we are still reviewing portfolios and making decisions

As the lovely Holly from Bath has said, Universities have quite a while yet to make decisions on applications made before Equal Consideration on the 29th January so don't be disheartened if some are taking a little while still. It can all come down to how popular the course is and if there are extra steps to admission, such as portfolios!

The portfolio is such a great chance to understand your creativity and how you see the world, and helps us understand your ability to study on our Architecture programme.

Just keep checking your UCAS page for news and keep an eye on your emails in case we or anyone else asks for a few more details.

Wishing you all the best with you 2 remaining applications, and with your studies wherever you choose to go! If you do have any specific concerns or questions for us here at Nottingham, feel free to Get in Touch 😄
