Realistic Gcse Grades
Just done my Feb Mocks!
My Results
Maths 6 - ( need a 7 )
English lang - 6 - ( flopped story normally get 7s / 8s )
English lit - 7
Combined science - 7/6 ( need a minum of 7//7)
Rs - 7
Pe - 7
Sociology - 6
Im hoping to go up to 8s in most subjects, science i would love a 8-8. But am i being realistic?
Btw this is all paper 2 basically my paper 1 mocks where terrible bc i had surgery before and was really very ill so I'm still rlly neverous.

Well done on those grades! I think you could definitely get an 8-8 or more, you just need to target what you lost marks in this time - ask yourself if it mainly because you didn't understand the topics, didn't understand the questions or didn't revise enough? If it was mainly the question wording I'd recommend doing exam questions (and even if it wasn't, exam questions are boring but great), if it was understanding freesciencelessons might help or cognito/seneca/pmt, if it was revision try to blurt topics or whatever works for you, you may know all this already! I hope you're better from the surgery and I'm sorry to hear that. It must've been so hard to do mocks in those circumstances, so kudos to you. I don't think you're in a critical stage if that's what your nervous about - you're above passing in all subjects and definitely on track - if it's just general exam stress then that sucks, I'm sorry. Good luck

Hey @tom47234912348,
Those grades look fantastic! Although it can be nerve-wracking to be a grade or two behind what you need (e.g. in Maths and Combined Science), you still have lots of time to revise and these mock results prove that you're on the right track to achieving what you need.
I would say moving up to 8s in most subjects would be realistic at this stage, but I'd also make sure you factor in some time to recover from surgery on top of revision. You want to hopefully be in the best form possible for your final exams in May/June!

Hi don’t worry my predicted grades for all my mocks for English lit and lang were 7 but I ended up getting 9. The examiners are much kinder than you might think. However, I would definitely recommend that you to expand your learning scope to solidify your 8/9s. Good luck

First of all learn the content - like really learn the content understand everything on the spec. use youtube videos to do this - then practice every single paper and mark and learn from mistakes
