Retaking a unit
Hi,
I'm on my last year at university and I will need to retake a 20 credit unit in August this year. I was hoping to do a masters in September. I was just wondering if anyone knows if this can work and how?

It is possible to apply to your Master's programme whilst still retaking a module, as the university will ask for a transcript of your results so far, but it is best to double check with the university you are applying to directly who will clarify the timeline regarding your circumstance. Find the contact information online for your relevant degree and either contact the department directly or the general admissions team to see how they process cases like this.

Whether you can start your master’s in September while retaking a 20-credit unit in August will likely depend on the specific requirements of the university you’re applying to. Some universities allow students to start a master’s with outstanding undergraduate assessments, as long as they complete them before a set deadline (usually before official enrollment). Others might require you to have fully completed your undergraduate degree before they offer you an unconditional place.
It’s definitely worth checking with the admissions team of the university you’re applying to. They should be able to confirm whether this would be possible and if there are any conditions you’d need to meet.
