Does universities (like Cambridge) look into IELTS result for science subjects?

Does universities (like Cambridge) look into IELTS result for science subjects? I aim at Cambridge Natural Science and have just achieved a 9 8 7 7 for IELTS, that's a 8.0 overall, should I retake IELTS?

What is the IELTS requirement for each of your Unis - do you meet this in each case?

Yes, as they need to be able to establish that your level of English is sufficiently engage with the course - even if the course is science-based.

You can find Cambridge's requirements for English Language fluency on this page, where it says:

"Minimum English language requirements
IELTS Academic normally a minimum overall grade of 7.5, usually with 7.0 or above in each element
TOEFL Internet Based Test (IBT) normally a minimum overall score of 110, with 25 or above in each element
EU students competence in English at C1 standard in the appropriate component of a school-leaving exam (for example, the Abitur)
Cambridge English: C2 Proficiency accepted with a minimum overall score of 200, with no element lower than 185
Cambridge English: C1 Advanced accepted with a minimum overall score of 193, with no element lower than 185, alongside other evidence of competence in English"

So you meet their requirements. Note that other universities may have different requirements.

Thank you for that. I do know that I met the requirement, but would a higher banding give me an advantage when applying? 🙇🏻*♂️
