Need urgent year 12 revision help/ advice

Guys my year 12 PPEs (mocks) are soon and I'm gradually making flashcards but I'm a little bit of a perfectionist so I overthink a lot and can't decide on what to do. (I do biology, chemistry and sociology)

Basically, for biology I had been using the information from the spec and savemyexams for the details to make flashcards then I began to use the info from my teachers ppts because its more condensed then I realised they sometimes use stuff from other exam boards and might leave out content that is required for the mark scheme so I got answers from the mark scheme according to the spec points and made flashcards with them. But obviously there isn't answers for every spec point so I was going to use the AQA textbook for the gaps then I thought maybe I could use AI to make flashcards and just memorise the whole of the textbook cause apparently AQA is more to do with understanding than memorising anyways.
(Mb for the yapping 😭)

so now my flashcards are a mix of everything and I need help to decide what to do

Disclaimer I know they can be a waste of time but I think I revise well with them and I prefer making my own flashcards.

Any year 13s or uni students who got A*-A in sciences/ biology, chemistry or even sociology please help 🙏

Hi @ihatethisdunya

Mocks is a great stage to be at! You can put your current revision techniques to the test and then revaluate once you get your results back as to whether you should try any other techniques.

If they work for you they are not a waste of time! And doing them digitally is great as you can then go through them wherever you are.

I know there is often questions at the end of each section of textbooks so maybe focusing on making sure you have the answers to those first would be key.

I didn't personally study any of those a-levels but I do have some previous posts about revision tips that I can share that might be useful.

I hope this helps and good luck

Hi, I and currently in Year 13 doing edexcel biology and OCR chemistry
I’m not too sure how they differ across exam boards but what you’re doing for biology is definitely a good idea in my opinion
The hardest part in biology for me was figuring out what the mark schemes wanted so past papers and exam practice really helped
Chemistry I found was mostly knowledge recall and then some big maths questions, so make sure you revise the knowledge and practice the larger maths questions
Hope this helps!
