Portsmouth students!

What are some benefits and disadvantages about the uni? Including accommodation, location, courses and just life in general. I’m really considering going so I’d want some feedback from actual student.

Everything very central, city very walkable. Accommodation mainly all together, 5 mins walk to uni. Good sporting facilities and clubs. Less good non-sporting clubs. Limited number of nightclubs etc. but still a good night out. Southsea and beach/green nice. Students union virtually non-existent compared to other unis and no events at Union. Some pretty good accommodation options. Gunwharf Quays good and walkable. Wednesday night is the big night out with fancy dress and societies all going out. Pub crawls through Southsea etc. Big degrees seem to be dentistry, cyber stuff, film, marine stuff, sport. A good back up second choice if you miss your grades for a Russell group. Lots of people there in that situation.
