I’ve completed the three tests and I’ve been told that the next stage is an interview so I’ve decided to just stop preparing now but I’ve never actually done an interview for the civil service before I was wondering if you know what types of questions they ask. Thank you in advance.

Yea basically it’s not bad at all. Usually it’s a pre-recorded video interview and it’s just questions like” tell me about a time you used communication effectively” or where you made an effective decision. If you check the civil service success profile, you will get a better understanding of how it works. But it’s not something anyone can’t handle really.

I’ve just checked and it’s a face-to-face virtual interview. I went to ask when going on the success profile page and each behaviour they will be some strengths, do you know whether they ask questions about the strengths that are linked to the behaviours. Sorry for question is about managing a quality service will they then ask strength based questions that link to that behaviour? Thank you in advance.

Hi how was your result ? i did well in numeric and verbal section but in the casework section only got 37%. dont know if i will get an interview link

Hi I have sent them an email and they have said that they collectively look at all three scores to make a decision, not based on just one so if you’ve been well on numerical and verbal then they surely will send you the interview link.
