LGBTQ accommodation
Hey, is anyone planning on staying in the lgbtq only accom for university of Sheffield? As a trans guy it’s ideal for me but I have no idea how the process works.

It's great to hear you are considering the LGBT+ accommodation. So many students have talked about how amazing it is that Uni of Sheffield offers this. 😃
I didn't personally stay there (although that would have been amazing!) but I do know that when you start the application for accommodation, there will be a section to input preferences and here is where you should be able to select the option for LGBT+ only accommodation. 🏳️*🌈
Also, the Student's Union has a LGBT+ lounge! 💛
Do you have any other questions about this accommodation? Or anything else about living and studying in Sheffield? 🏞️

Hello, I'm a bit late since this was posted 5 months ago, but I myself applied for it. I received my offer but I have no idea if my wish for LGBT only accommodation was granted as it is not specified anywhere in my booking as of now. If you applied for it, is it specified for you? I'm also a trans guy and thought this would be perfect for me

Hiya, no it isn’t specified for me but I emailed the accommodation office and asked, and they confirmed it was.

Yes the best thing you can do is just phone or email the accommodation office and ask. They could possibly even change things if its not what you want at the moment.
