Does anyone know the about the bucks mmi pattern, no of stations and the duration of each, do we need to talk for the entire time, or we'll be questioned after our answer?

Hi @squat-envoy ,

Thanks for your question! Our MMAs are the 2nd stage of selection which applies to those who meet the academic threshold and is intended to judge personal attributes relating to suitability for practice as a doctor. It is a computer-based test, made up of a series of tasks intended to test applicants’ analysis, interpretation and judgement abilities related to Good Medical Practice‘, published by the UK General Medical Council.

They consist of 5 activities and lasts 60 minutes, from home, via a Microsoft Teams video call with camera on. You will type your responses (the test is all computer based) to each of the scenarios or tasks into a form, so there is no talking required. Each of the 5 activities are equally weighted and they test several skills - things like data analysis, time management, reflection, ethics etc.

You can find out loads more information about how to prepare for the MMA and the application process as a whole using this super helpful video which is also hosted on our website: Preparing for Medicine Selection events with Dr Sunjay Paul.

I hope this is helpful to you - if you have any further questions after watching the video, just let me know!

Best wishes,
Ellie
