Student Finance Childcare Grant
Hi, I need some help, please. I have been advised that I am not eligible for the childcare grant due to my husband's earnings for the year ended 2024 being £20,918.00, and the threshold is £20,107.23. Annoying, right? However, we know that the year 2024-2025 will be less than the threshold, but we are not sure if it will be 15% lower. Will we be able to submit a current year assessment request on this basis? Long story short, if we do not get the childcare grant, it's goodbye Uni for me. I'm hoping this will not be the case.

Hi Charlie, yes, you can submit the form with your spouse's earnings and we can do a reassessment on this https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/65faebab703c42001a58f098/sfe_cyi_form_2425_o.pdf We will then contact them once the tax year has ended for them to confirm their actual earnings.
