Physics or Maths at A-level

Hi there! I was wondering if anyone who have done A level or are currently in A level could tell me the experience!!
Which one do you recommend, Physics or Maths. I am good at both.
Currently, I am preparing the topics to start this September.

Hii, it really depends on what you want to do in the future. However, I will say that maths is more useful as it can be used in a wider range of courses, whilst physics is only useful if you want to continue that in the future, engineering (which still requires maths), etc.
I would choose what course you want to in the future, and then see which one is necessary and more valued for that course on university websites.

Hi! I’m doing both Physics and Maths at A-Level. Definitely depends on what you want to do, whether it be more stem based and what your other options are.

Personally, I enjoy Maths more than Physics because I find it far less confusing. For me, Physics A Level is the hardest course and it is DRASTICALLY different to GCSE. It’s both written and calculations. I think it requires more work than other subjects, but that may just be because I find it super difficult!

I recommend going to a sixth form open day and just checking out the course (the content).

If you can, do both. If you cant, pick Maths.

What other A level subjects are you taking?
Do you have any ideas about what you might do later - apprenticeship, or Uni?
And what sort of career area, or Uni subject ?

Hi, so I did Biology Chemistry Physics and Maths for AS level (year 12) then I dropped physics and now doing Bio chem and maths.
I would pick maths as physics is a lot harder in my opinion. Maths is easier to revise as the only form of revision is learning how to do questions and then just doing as many questions as possible. Whereas with physics, I found that despite learning a lot, physics brought in different scenarios or sittuation that required you to really apply knowledge.

I’m from Northern Ireland (CCEA) exam board so I do not know what A level physics is like with other boards, but it was very difficult for mine I felt.
