Should I resit English language gcse?

I got a grade 5 in English language at GCSE. I was close to a 6 and I know that I could’ve done better, but I wasn’t too worried about it.

However, since I’ve been looking at university entry requirements I’ve been wondering if I should resit this summer and try and get 6 because, while most courses I’m looking at
require a 5, one of the courses requires a 6.

I’m just wondering if I should resit just for this course because there aren’t many options for courses in the degree I’m looking at.

I do recommend resitting English language and maths both to have a 6 as those top unis want it. What is your overall gcse profile and what course are you interested in ? Whilst there is no large difference for 5 and 6 for English !!

The couse in Newcastle is the one that requires 6 in maths and English, the reason I’m a bit worried is because I don’t do Biology at A level and there are only 3 courses that do dietetics that don’t need biology
