Bcu placement uniform
Hi guys, does anyone from bcu nursing field know if we are allowed to wear a top under the tunic on placement? Like a top which sleeves will be obviously above the elbow ? Pleaseee

Hi! Yes, I believe so. I've been on placement with nurses who did this for religious reasons and also just because sometimes it can get cold on the wards.

I have just replied to your PM, but in case anyone else is wondering about this, it is perfectly acceptable to wear layers under your tunic, as long as they don’t go below your elbow.

You can, however, when dealing with a patient, you'll need to roll them up for infection control.
