Sociology or English Language a-level?

Hi, I’m taking Geography, psychology and English language a levels next year. But I’m wondering if I should swap English language for sociology, because I do prefer sociology but I don’t know it’s if less respected. Thank you !

Sociology is definitely respected as it’s quite difficult to do well in. Sociology and psychology are quite similar in terms of research methods so they would go well together but sociology is more essay based. But I’d advise you to pick somethings you enjoy. English language has an NEA so if you like coursework you’d probably enjoy it.

Sociology is a solid, essay-based, academic A level that is readily accepted by all UK Unis.
Sociology and Geography could be a good combination if you want to do any sort of social-science based subject at Uni - and its also useful just for general knowledge and understanding how the world around you actually functions, and why.

Depends what you want to do in the future but its better to do the subject you prefer (more likely to do well and enjoy it) and I don't think I'll make too much of a difference in the long term
