What to do if you miss year 10?

I moved abroad at the start of year 10 but will most likely be moving back at the start of year 11 which means I'll miss a whole year. I don't know if I'm still able to pass my gcses after missing year 10 or how it works after you miss a year ???

Hey!

That answer very much applies to your own strength and knowledge on subjects, the specific school and local council/ parish it is located in,

what I can tell you though, is that you're fully capable of passing- I dropped out of secondary education in year 8, while I only did 5 GCSES I did them in 3 months and passed all- you only need 5- 6 if you're planning to apply to oxbridge or similar institutions and the content is not massive, you are capable!

I would recommend if you know what school you would re-enter into within year11 you contact them as soon as you can, as some schools enter students into exams at different dates- if you miss this entry it does cost an additional fee some schools aren't willing to pay. Generally maths and English are most important- specialised GCSE's if you'd like to study A levels in specific subjects, but potentially buy CGP books and revise/ keep up to date with only GCSE required knowledge of you can during the time you miss.

ps. happy to send you any channels of YouTube creators that helped me with my GCSES in PM's if you'd like,
Goodluck!
