Is triple science for A-Levels alright for a STEM major without Mathematics?

I am planning to take biotechnology for my uni major and I am most likely going to take the 3 sciences (Bio, Chem, Phy) for my A-Levels but I am in concern that I might require Mathematics to apply to universities. Is it okay if I do not take Mathematics and instead go for triple sciences?

It will depend on where you are applying, if you are looking for a UK uni; the bets advice is to draw up a shortlist and look at each in turn (eg Manchester is a great uni for sciences and you would be fine there) BSc Biotechnology - entry requirements (2025 entry) | The University of Manchester

You should have a look at least 10 universities you are interested in and see if they require, or even recommend A-level Maths. I've had a look at a few uni's and it seems that it is mostly not a requirement. If you can, maybe get in touch with people studying Biotech and see what they think.

In my opinion, A-level maths is a super useful and respected A-level. Many courses value it highly and if you decide to apply to a different degree, you might end up needing A-level Maths.

Also, doing A-level maths is generally very useful and would likely set you up quite well for the bits of maths you do in your degree.

Maths isnt required or preferred for Biotechnology (it usually is needed for Bioengineering)
Manchester- BSc Biotechnology (2025 entry) | The University of Manchester - AAB/AAA including two of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.. You must have a minimum of grades AA in at least two of these Core Sciences.
Birmingham - Biotechnology BSc - University of Birmingham - AAB including two from Chemistry, Biology, Human Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Statistics - at least one of which must be Chemistry or Biology/Human Biology
Essex - BSc Biotechnology - Biotechnology Degree | University of Essex - BBB - BBC including B in Biology, Chemistry, Human Biology or Life and Health Sciences.
