AS-level core maths help

soooo, i chose core math in the begining of the year purely because my timetable was practically empty and i thought it would be easy to get a good grade considering the taster session we had so the subject. however, i'm like four or so months in and i hate it!! it's literally only easy for the students who did higher level maths and got more than a 6, whereas I did foundation level and got a 5. I have asked to quit but i'm apparently not allowed eventhough somebody quit previously.

It's literally so difficult for some reason, like at gcse i was fairly good a math (eventhough it was just foundation level), but in care math mock i got an E. the sibject was advertised to us as something we wouldn't have to do any homework or a lot of revision for, but i have been finding that statement more a lie as the days go on.
i have told my teachers that subject stresses me out to the point where i lose sleep thinking about how poorly i am performing in it, but teachers are not offering any extra support or allowing me to quit.
anyone who's been through this before have any advice for the subject?? especially considering it's really nothing like my other sibjects.

First of all, lesson learnt. Don't even chose maths because it can fill out your timetable (which it clearly has) ... secondly, maths can be a bit challenging at first but once you get the hang of it, its actually quite fun. I'm in Yr13 and have done the A level Maths, and off it was a bit tricky at first but as you continue to build on the basic skills it gets easier.
Is there a particular topic you're struggling with?

Get your parents to write in and withdraw you.

i'm thinking of sticking it out, we've just finished the paper one content and my teacher had the audicity to predict me a B so that's making me think that in the past people did about the same as me but still got decent grades at the end of it. I still have no clue cause it's not like we get any homework and it's literally just two hours a week.
