Chemistry at Birmingham uni

Hi!

I have applied to do Chemistry at uni, and have offers from Birmingham, Bristol, Nottingham and Manchester, and I am predicted A*AA for my A-levels in Bio, Chem and Spanish.

I absolutely loved Birmingham, but I am a bit worried that the academic side won't stretch me enough, as I haven't heard many good things about it. I've also not heard from anyone who actually studied chem at Birmingham!

Any advice?

Hi subsequent-ivy,

It’s great to hear that you loved Birmingham, and congratulations on your offers!

I’d recommend chatting with current Chemistry students on Unibuddy to hear firsthand about their experiences with the course and academic environment. You can find and connect with them here: https://www.birmingham.ac.uk/study/student-experience/meet-our-students/chat-with-our-undergrads.
