Graphic design - kingston or hertfordshire

Hi All,
I’m looking to start my graphic design BA Hons degree at either of these universities, i’ve visited both and am very torn, wondering if anyone has any input or has had a good/bad experience at either.

They're both good options but quite different in terms of personality.

Kingston has a great reputation and bright students but leans more towards theoretical/academic work.

Herts is more industry-focused and down to earth.

I totally understand feeling torn over universities!

I found it easier for me to set up a criteria. I weighed up the course, the university facilities, location (for living and travelling), whether you prioritise activities during the day or a night life. These might help make your choice clearer.

It is also perfect that you have popped your question on this forum as our reps are current students at Kingston and can help with any questions you may have. I don't personally study graphic design but my course is also at KSA and I study art direction which has some cross overs. I have personally really enjoyed my time at Kingston and will really miss it! The fantastic workshop facilities are amazing and are what really persuaded me for Kingston. This week alone I used the photography studios and the moving image studios to support my final project which I think is a huge factor you should consider for facilities of the uni!
