I want to do an Apprenticeship but don’t know where to start?

Hi,

I always wanted to do an apprenticeship. It caught my attention and interest when my best friend spoke about it although, I don’t know where to start. The two subjects I want to do an apprenticeship in is Information Communication Technology because I would love to work in IT Support as an IT Technician and Paramedic Science because I would love to become a Paramedic too although the big question mark here is I have done a level 3 BTEC in Information Communication Technology and a Degree in Digital Technology (Computer Networks and Technology) and I have Epilepsy and I think I would be overlooked because to become a paramedic you need to drive an Ambulance and I don’t know whether I can obtain a license in the long term due to my health.

Any advice and guidance please? Also anybody know any places that provide these opportunities.

A lot of the major apprenticeships have already came out, however there are still quite a few being released. The best resources to use to find apprenticeships are the government apprenticeship search website and ratemyapprenticeship. I have seen many IT apprenticeships however I don't think I have seen a paramedic apprenticeship yet, but that might be cos they havent opened up yet. For IT apprenticeships IBM, BT and Vodafone are exmaples of companies that I know have apprenticeships in IT, but like I said at the start the deadline to apply may have passed by now. The main thing is just researching yourself, as I found this is the way I found most of the apprenticeships I have applied for.
Hope this helps
