Hiya,

I would recommend signing up to an offer holder day if you have the time - these can be helpful to meet with lecturers to learn about teaching styles and get a feel for what a day in the life of a student could look like. You can also talk to current students about their modules and how they find their experience.

You can also have a look at student accom after so these days can be really helpful in picking between both unis.

If you have any more specific questions, just let me know!

Hello @uphill-voltage

I'm glad to hear that you are considering studying at Lancaster! It can be difficult to choose a university, but I think it's important to consider a lot of different things, league tables can be a good indicator, as well as employability rankings, accommodation, module options, societies, the city itself, etc.

I myself looked at Sheffield and Lancaster and decided to firm Lancaster because I loved the campus and could really see myself living there. Lancaster is on the smaller side when it comes to cities, but I still think there's a fair bit to do, and with campus being a big community in itself there's usually something going on which is nice when you live on campus in first year. We are close enough to other major cities like Liverpool and Manchester if you crave that bigger city feel.

I would really recommend speaking to one of our Econ students HERE and ask them their thoughts on the course and the city itself.

If you have any questions, also feel free to respond here and one of our ambassadors will get back to you!
