SFE and NHS LSF funding for second Masters programme

Good afternoon,

I have recently been accepted for study on a MSc Nutrition and Dietetics (pre-registration) programme starting academic year 2025/6. I have part-studied on a masters programme this academic year funded by SFE. Will I be eligible to apply for further student finance and NHS learning support funding? Thanks.

If you are ligible for student finance, then you will be able to apply for the NHS LSF. The eligibility criteria are listed here:

Pre-reg healthcare masters are usually exception courses and attract undergraduate funding (both tuition fee and maintenance loans). An SFE/SLC rep will check this for you if you list the full name of the course and the uni.

Hi Paul198231,

Yes, you would be eligible as Dietetics and nutrition is an Allied Health Professional course which is an exception to previous study and Equal Level Qualification rules.

Thanks, Clare
