University college, they are at Kepler Court. And Hild & Bede have them.

Hiya,

Most colleges don't have studios (a room with an ensuite bathroom and a small functional kitchen) but there are private accommodations that offer studios. Castle college does offer studios at Kepier court however the chances of getting allocated castle let alone an ensuite or studio room are very slim and incredibly competitive if you're only wanting a studio. There is also Hilde Bede which offers Rushford Court as the studio/ensuite option but I'm not sure if they're switching to all ensuite rooms or not. Your best bet if you really want a studio is to look at private accommodation rather than college because of the vast majority of college accommodation is either shared or single rooms with a shared kitchen/bathroom or ensuite rooms with a shared kitchen 🙂

Hope this helps!

There aren't any Durham colleges with studio rooms, per se. However, Hild Bede college currently occupies the Unite Students Rushford Court building, which does have studio rooms, and Castle offers some students accommodation in Kepier Court, which also has studios. If you are an undergraduate, it is unlikely (not impossible) you'd be allocated a studio room in either of these, as that kind of room seems to be most often offered to postgraduates. If a studio is a non-negotiable for you, I would recommend looking at private halls such as Dun Holm House, Student Castle, CityBlock Village @ The Viaduct, or Ernest Place. But if the studio is simply a preference and you'd be content with a standard (shared bathroom and kitchen) or ensuite room (shared kitchen), I would definitely recommend trying to live in college in first year for the social aspect!

They are not reserved merely for postgraduates, just simply ask would be my advice.
