Resit GCSE

Hi , I am in year 12 and considering doing medicine or dentistry or law .However , I went through a really difficult time during my GCSE's . For context my parents just began divorcing and they would argue which really put me off mentally throughout my all my exams . Anyways , i ended up getting 98777776665 . I got 9 in english 7 in maths 7 in chemistry 6 in bio and 5 in physics . I just wanted to ask , should i resit physics and bio ?
Or even all 3 sciences ? I did triple science aswell .
So yeh should I resit some on my gcses as they are pretty low and im worried that it will effect my chance of university or should I just focus on getting good A levels . Also would i be able with saying my GCSE results were effected by my home situation ? Like will i be able to tell UCAS that??
Thank you!

I am sorry that you had difficulties. The best way is forwards. Focus on A levels. Your GCSEs are not terrible. Ask your school to mention your difficulties in its reference when you apply to universities.

Unless you feel a strong vocation for medicine, I suggest that you choose a degree subject which interests you and worry about careers later.

Good luck!

Not worth it. Do good a levels, focus on predicted grades. Apply to unis that don’t look at GCSEs. Sorted.

Unis don't obsess about GCSEs as much as school-leavers assume - including for Dentistry or Medicine.
Yes, you need to meet any specified GCSE grades (typically English and Maths) but beyond that, Unis are far more interested in your A levels, UKCAT and Interview performance.
