Contextual offer / foundation year for Oxbridge

I’m awaiting an Autism diagnosis and a POTS diagnosis, have only started school in year 11 and was unschooled all the way before that, I missed 2 months in year 12 due to health problems, I did my gcses in one year, did one year of IB and now doing my A levels in one year with a predicted of ABB + A in EPQ, how likely is it that I could get a contextual offer / foundation year offer from Oxbridge 2026 entry? (I will probably gap year since I graduate this year but didn’t consider that I can probably get this offer when I applied a few months ago) If possible at all? I don’t know if I qualify. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I am sorry that you have had difficulties.

If you applied last year and were rejected, it might be unlikely that you would be accepted if you apply this year, unless your circumstances change. If you exceed your predicted grades, you might have a chance. You might be over qualified for a foundation course place, but in any event there are few such places.

Do the best you can in your A levels and take a view on whether or not to apply once you have your results. Good luck!

I add that yours is a case in which a strong teacher reference explaining the educational challenges which you have faced could be very significant. Talk to your teachers about this.

If you're wishing to progress to a humanities subject then I'd recommend the Cambridge FY. They only require BBB and there are a few current students with similar educational backgrounds to yourself. I'd look at the eligibility criteria though as you need to meet two out of the three categories (individual, family and school background)
