Lack of pediatric nurse jobs in scotland

Hello, Im a student who would like to apply for child nursing but i was doing some research and i found out that there is a huge lack of pediatric nurses jobs in scotland, which make me think that i should do adult nursing intead as looks like this problem doesn't affect them, plus i know you can work as a pediatric nurse with a adult nursing degree too so now im concern if i should take adult nursing instead of child nursing because if i take child nursing i will be more likely to not be able to work as a pediatric nurse and if i do adult i could work as a adult nurse until i find a place for being a pediatric nurse.
Could anyone who knows about this tell me if this is true or what should i do.
Thank you

Unfortunately I don't think that's true because the university takes on potential students for the three years coursework and a view that they will be employed as a children nurse as the NHS estimate how many newly qualified children nurses will be employed when they qualify.
They wouldn't continue doing student children nurse courses if they don't have potential jobs for them at the end.
I haven't found at the moment any children nurse vacancies because they won't be advertised until around late March early April with potential interview taking place at beginning of May. Speak with your coursework leaders about this.

I briefly looked through a load of potential children jobs vacancies

Above is only a few of them but you have to research them, either googling ( children nurse vacancies for newly qualified children nurses in Scotland ) or searching the NHS Scotland vacancies website.

As a student children nurse you'll be hopefully given a list of potential vacancies in the final months of your student degree which you can apply for.

They do this for adults nurses and midwives so they can start to apply for a permanent job once they qualify.
