Improving GCSE grades

I’m currently working at a -4-5 in higher combined science, how do I get a 7? I keep failing chemistry, so it brings my other grades down.

I’m also struggling with History, I’m stuck at a 5, how do I get this to a 7?

What helped me is doing lots of past papers which helped me get used to exam style question, and the topics of the questions I would get wrong I would watch YouTube videos on them (I used freesciencelessons) and try the topic again using questions from physics and maths tutor for example.

Hey @isaazio,

I definitely agree with dmordips regarding past papers - not just are they an excellent revision tool, but they also work as a great way to get used to exam-style questions. You can find past papers for your current exam specification on your exam board's website, or you can ask your teachers if they have any they could possibly send/give to you.

Focus most of your revision time on the subjects that you're currently struggling with - in this case, Chemistry and History. Make sure you have a good understanding of the content before trying to learn anything off by heart.

Hope this was helpful and best of luck,
Eve (Kingston Rep).
