Gcse chemistry combined science higher triogy

Ok so I'm actually really scared. I've been doing past papers to see how much I know for chemistry and because people say to do this as main source of revision as hey repeat questions. But I'm really scared because i have 2 months left and I believe I know absolutely nothing but I really want to get 7,7 in science and chemistry I'm really scared for

Does anyone have any revision tips or advice???? Am I doing the right thing???? I only have 2 months left so only really effective revision tips and advice pleaseeeee

Hi! You seem very stressed right now which is understandable.

This is my go to for revising chem...

Either make notes or use preprepared ones (like PMT) - whichever you prefer

I tend to make flashcards on key terms and formulae

Blurting is my fave technique to see how much you remember. Take a topic and split it into mini subtopics. Randomly pick one of these and 'blurt' everything you can remember onto the paper on this subtopic. You then check your notes and see what you forgot and write that out in a different colour pen. Depending on the pen colour ratio and just how you feel on the topic, give it a rating out of 5 for confidence. I usually recall again if it's below 3, and may do it a couple of times if it's 2 or below. Every time you repeat give yourself a new score and use this same reasoning and soon enough your scores go higher and you can remember the majority of your notes.

Then I'd do practice questions. Can be full papers or just topic specific ones. As you've been told this is the best way of revising.

Any topics you really struggle on -> watch a YT video -> still don't get it -> ask a teacher.

Hope this helps

You can definitely try it out. After each paper write what you didn’t get right or found hard. Look at notes on that/YouTube if need it further. Move on to the next and repeat and hopefully those tricky areas reduce or don’t show up again as you go on. If you run out of past papers look at other exam boards
