Summary of my lessons in a school day (y12)

Ok so starting from tomorrow I’m gonna write what I did in all my lessons at school every day, on my way home from school if I can, so that it doesn’t take me any extra time, and hopefully I’ll remember more stuff.
Because I don’t want to forget everything I learnt at school as soon as I go home.

Fm- solved 2nd order recurrence relations, explained how the complementary function (cf) makes the auxiliary part equal to 0 and how the whole method works and why it's a different cf for distinct and repeated roots (roots are from the auxiliary equation)
Music- learnt differences between expressionism, impressionism and neo-classicism, hw to write a 25 mark essay comparing 2 of them
Maths- kinematics, practiced using 5 suvat equations, acceleration when things are thrown in the air is -9.8 up and 9.8 down, hw more questions from the same worksheet

Music- we recapped from last lesson Vltava by Smetana and how it shows Czech Nationalism and then we went through Finlandia by Sibelius and learnt context and history and detailed examples in the music (note to self: mock 25 marker likely to be 'How did composers in the 19th century use the symphonic poem for nationalism?'
Fm- did more practice on 2nd order recurrence relations and found that with complex roots, the cf A and B can be solved with just u1 and there is only 1 option for u2 which is just used to check.
Bio- recapped some lung breathing stuff and then looked at stomata under a microscope and talked about extremophiles like xerophytes.

Bio- haemoglobin, s shaped curve of oxygen partial pressure against saturation percentage caused by 2nd and 3rd polypeptides joining more easily, 3 ways of getting rid of waste carbon dioxide, 2nd and 3rd ways lead to the bohr effect
Maths - practiced geometric progression questions and then looked at binomial expansion formula of (1+x)^n where n is between -1 and 1, and we demonstrated how it goes on forever using a geometric series of first term 1 and common ratio x
Chem- equilibrium practicals showed colour changes when changing temperature and concentration. There was one with potassium dichromate where we added NaOH and then added H2SO4 and repeated with potassium chromate but added acid first and then alkali

Music - harmonised a Bach chorale, made our best phrase yet, which had many passing notes
Fm - was meant to do advanced 2nd order recurrence relations questions but didn't really do them because I was revising for chem test (unecessarily)
Chem - test was quite easy (which means high grade boundaries), which is made worse by the fact that I know a question I got wrong because I read it wrong

Maths - did velocity time graphs and displacement time graph question which involved drawing them and answering questions, hw finish sheet and also finish other suvat sheet
Chem - ozone layer, how ozone is formed, how ozone blocks harmful uv light, how cfcs and no created a hole in the ozone layer
Bio - revised for test
