Social work placement 80 days query
Hi all, so i have finished my placement, but during christmas and 2 weeks of January i fell very ill and was hospitalised. When i was in my last week of placement upon return from ill health. I was told on the tuesday of the week i finished my placement wouldnt be passed but wouldnt be failed it would be a disrupted placement????
I dont know much about it i have a meeting monday, but my tutors who r calling me have already said ill have to redo my placement the full 80 days again?? Im so upset as i worked hard, the placement was difficult as i travelled miles as a non driver whilst other in placement there got cases on there door step. I didnt get reimbursed for my travel as buses were bot reliable and i relied on ubers.....
When i started the placement they asked what area i was looking at going into? I said youth justice or young adults mental health. Since that first day my supervisor didn't like it. I tried my best to work hard, advocate for my young people and support the families. I got on with everyone else in the office. At the end of my placement my supervisor on site had the audacity to state she thought i didnt fit in as i didnt want this placement. That isnt what i said. I said id be looking forward to new challenges.
How can i argue my case? To say i shouldn't have to resit another 80 days? Thank you
