gutted about my ba fine art csm rejection . is there still hope :[ ?

hey, im currently on ual's foundation course and i heard back yesterday from csm undergrad fine art, my dream school. they said no sadly :frown:. because my application was not as strong as others, after 3 weeks of waiting, i got the dreaded rejection.
im quite upset, but i somewhat accept it, but my family said i might be able to get in after clearing? is this true? there's not much info online about this. do you think it's possible? have you ever heard of this happening before?

Have you applied to any other fine art undergrads possibly in other UAL campuses such as camberwell or Chelsea?

And also the clearing is very much possible if the waitlist is short (if UAL do waitlists) along with people declining their place on their course which happens a lot every year!!

Unfortunately you can’t go through clearing for a course you’ve been rejected from…clearing would have to be on another course…sorry hope that helps x

This isn’t true. It isn’t likely to result in a change but it depends upon the reasons for rejection.
OP have you looked at other fine art degrees outside UAL? If they won’t offer you the college and course you prefer then you might be better off studying at a different university altogether

I have over 20 years experience working with and in university admissions.
UAL admissions policy doesn’t state anything about not reconsidering rejected applicants in clearing.
It might be what they do normally but there’s nothing stopping them other than their own stubbornness

Girl keep your 20 years to yourself it’s not flattering. I have been applying this year and that is the case. Maybe leave this chat for people who are actually going through the process and up to date with newer policies

UAL admissions policy explicitly states that rejected applicants can reapply in Clearing in August IMG_8532.jpeg

whoever told you otherwise is contradicting the published admissions policy for this cycle and risking litigation. You might want to go back to them and get it in writing and if they’re willing to put it in writing then you would have the evidence to make a formal complaint
