A Level Music Performance HELP

Got my Eduquas performance exam in 2 weeks and had a minor crisis:
I'm a Grade 8+ guitarist, lots of experience playing musical theatre and jazz and rock and pop.
Had a wobble about whether I'd actually hit 2 areas of study with the repertoire I'd chosen, specifically Dark Matter from the RSL G8 syllabus. It's classed as jazz in the book but I think it's too modern to fall into the area of study. I was planning to use this to cover jazz, with rock and pop being my other pieces.
As a backup I'm currently speed learning Omigod You Guys from Legally Blonde - would it be ok to only play about 2/3 of this since it's a 6 minute long song? I planned to alter the music myself and mix a backing track, didn't know if there was anything against this? My pieces overall would come to about 11:30 of playing (max is 12 min).
